Matawi means branches in Swahili, showing how a small initial aid can make the sap run and give a new life to people, aware that with this little help they will be able to become a great resource for someone else. This virtuous circle made by the initial aid will be able to expand and let the whole community raise again and look at the future with renewed hope.
Our goal is to back up youths, women and any person in need in their developing process so that they can better their personal, social and economic living condition.
We strongly believe that an adequate education is a right for everyone and this is what is moving us to work for those contexts where this is not happing yet.
We strongly believe that each individual needs to be followed in his personal growth so that he can achieve his own goals and become a good example for his community.
We strongly believe that through the work the man and the woman fulfill themselves and can arise from discouragement and frustration, in addition to poverty: this is why we decided to found Matawi association and getting voluntarily involved to promote that change that we wish to see for a more fair world.
