Marmara University Department of Nursing

Undergraduate nursing education at Marmara University began with the establishment of the School of Nursing, which was founded on 3 July 1992 with the approval of the Council of Higher Education. The School admitted its first students through the 1993–1994 Student Placement Examination and commenced its educational activities at the Marmara University Haydarpaşa Campus. It graduated its first cohort in the spring semester of the 1996–1997 academic year. Since its establishment, the School of Nursing has comprised nine departments: Fundamentals of Nursing, Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Nursing Management, and Nursing Education.
