Maritsa municipality

Maritsa Municipality is established by a Decree of the State Council in October 1987. The administrative district is based in Plovdiv district.
Located in the Upper Valley, the municipality occupies a central position within the territorial scope of the Plovdiv region, respectively and South Central Region of the country. Maritsa Municipality includes 19 villages - Trud, Manole, Rogosh, Graf Ignatievo, Stroevo, Scutare, Tsaratsovo, Voyvodinovo, Radinovo Kostievo, Benkovski Voysil, Manolsko Konare, Yasno Pole, Dink, Jelyazno, Trilistnik, Kalekovets, Krislovo. Maritsa Municipality’s population is 30,710 people 8200 of which are 15-35 years old.
They are the target group we generally work with.
Rural young people’s interests and needs are the most important things for us. The general aim is to use the most useful way to involve young people from our area in municipality’s youth activities , help them to develop their interests and ideas, create projects that can satisfy their common needs, to solve their problems, etc.
The municipality aranges and supports regular activities:
-different seminars;
-trainings and learning programmes;
-suitable business contacts and exchange of experience in the social and economic spheres;
- meetings between youth organizations;
-concerts and sports and culture events;
-youth projects.

Maritsa municipality is a rural area and there are 19 villages. 18 of these villages have community centres.
The centre of the cultural and art activity in every village and in the municipality is every single National Community Centre. Dedicated to their highly noble and patriotic activities, the National Community Centres continue the traditions and rituals typical for our region and keep alive our Bulgarian spirit.
