MIS Foundation was created in 2015 by a group of professors from two Krakow universities - the Jagiellonian University and the University of Economics - outstanding specialists in the field of law, management and public finance. The purpose of the
MIS Foundation is to represent the interests of local government in Poland, spread self-government and civil society, and professionalize management in local government administration as well as micro, small and medium enterprises.
Our MISSION is DIALOGUE, PROFESSIONALISM AND DEVELOPMENT, primarily in the area of education of members of local communities, adults, and the professionalization of social services serving to improve the quality of life of residents
of local communities.
The activities of the MIS Foundation are based, among others on implementing, in cooperation with public, social and business partners, model solutions in education (non-formal and informal), management, the area of social services, as well as a new approach to the provision of services to various social groups (youth, adults, seniors, staff, etc.). We implement
educational and social projects to develop and improve the competences of individuals and groups, public and business organizations important from the point of view of development challenges, based on the concept of LIFELONG LEARNING approach. MIS Foundation promotes create learning potential in organisations towards becoming LEARNING
ORGANISATIONS in which staff and/or workers have the opportunity to develop professional and social competences through peer learning, by using the different tools and methods like “Hidden workshop”, “active learning”, “learning by doing”.

The MIS Foundation is active on European level too, implementing projects with modern educational tools created as part of transnational cooperation (e-learning courses, educational games, ITC-based learning techniques and methods). During the activity, MIS Foundation has carried out (or is carrying out) transnational educational projects under theErasmus Plus Programme (in the framework of Youth, Adult and VET Sector) that involved 36 European partners.

MIS Foundation team consists of people who have extensive experience in the field of education (formal and informal), develop new educational programs, use new learning methods based on new solutions and new technologies (ITC), and benefit from the inspiration of foreign partners, training in
entrepreneurship and social issues (social inclusion), social services and management methods. They have experience in the development and implementation of projects, including projects with international partners.
