MamAfrika Organization

MamAfrika Organization is a non-profit NGO. was founded on November 11th, 2014, our first association was named CSM Fida Casablanca, in 2008 and retitled MamAfrika Organization in 2014, that was established to build equality, social dialogue, and fraternity between nations through Inter-Cultural Youth exchange MamaAfrika supports gender equality.

The organization was founded by a group of young people from Morocco, Denmark, and Belgium who returned to their homeland (Morocco)after living in Europe to start organizing work camps and long-term projects for people with fewer opportunities to combat social exclusion. MamAfrika Organization works in collaboration with European Commission Programmes. It is certified by the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of the Interior within the organization of international volunteers and cultural exchange in Morocco.

A Track Record of Excellence: MamAfrika's Impactful Initiatives in Africa, Morocco.

MamAfrika Organization’s team works tirelessly to ensure a successful experience for international volunteers when undertaking social change in Morocco. Our organization organizes work camps regarding the environment, language, and cultural exchange every year, especially in summer. These work camps are managed by the local team of the organization in collaboration with our national and international affiliated entities. Our organization also receives volunteers to participate in our projects either through the Idealist platform or through our partners in Scandinavian countries as hosting structures in Morocco. Our team also works with the Korean community in the (IT) Information Technology Volunteer program in partnership with KOICA Korean International Cooperation Agency. This program is run by both Moroccan volunteers and a Korean team to provide the youth with free equipment and organize digital workshops regarding (IT) in educational institutions, especially in hard-reach communities where children with fewer opportunities lack access to Digital Education this initiative aims to enable the youth with fewer opportunities to access high-quality education and bridge the gap to raise a generation with a wide range of skills in the field of digital literacy for a globally connected world.

We have also had a fruitful collaboration with JICA Japan International Cooperation Agency* as a hosting organization to welcome international applicants to serve disadvantaged children at orphanages and combat social exclusion.

In 2013, our organization was named Moroccan Camp For Solidarity CSM Fida Casablanca And forged a strategic partnership with a French organization, allowing us to host volunteers from Europe under the EVS European Voluntary Service program. This collaboration was a pivotal moment for CSM Fida Casablanca, enabling us to expand our horizons and diversify our volunteer base, while simultaneously deepening our commitment to fostering solidarity across borders." Under this program, the French team was volunteering in a youth Center and they were teaching French to underprivileged young people and providing them with social and psychological support. They were also training the youth in social and physical sports. During

the summer CSM Fida Casablanca also worked with AESIC organization to provide English summer courses for adults and children who reside in poor neighborhoods in Casablanca in collaboration with public schools throughout the season. In 2014, our organization underwent a metamorphosis and emerged with a new name and purpose, becoming the MamAfrika organization, determined to make a difference in our community.

On Sept 23, 2024, in the wake of the devastating earthquake in Morocco that rocked the Al Hawz region in Marrakech, MamAfrika volunteers mobilized quickly, providing essential support to those impacted by the disaster. Braving the destruction and chaos, they delivered much-needed food, clothing, and medical assistance to victims in the region. Their unwavering commitment to helping those in need extended beyond basic aid, as they also worked tirelessly to clear away rubble and debris, aiding in the recovery efforts and offering hope to those affected by the tragedy.

In 2016, we embarked on a transformative journey alongside USAID, organizing a training program that provided the youth in rural areas with critical soft skills, unlocking their full potential for personal growth and development. Our partnership also enabled Moroccan families to host volunteers from Europe, creating a cultural exchange that exposed these visitors to the rich traditions, customs, and dialects of Morocco while simultaneously granting Moroccan citizens the opportunity to experience diverse perspectives and worldviews, cultivating a spirit of global understanding and unity.

In recent years, MamAfrika joined NDH National Human Development Initiative to launch a youth development program in partnership with the Moroccan Ministry of Interior. This program

aims to address the inequality and lack of opportunities faced by youth living in disadvantaged areas by providing them with affordable English and French language classes. By equipping these youth with the necessary language skills, the program seeks to promote inclusive development and provide equal employment opportunities, thereby contributing to a more equitable and just society.

In addition to its local partnerships, MamAfrika teamed up with KVINFO, a Danish program, to empower women and foster social entrepreneurship through the Danish initiative. This project aimed to support the formation of cooperatives for small and medium-sized enterprises SMEs, with a focus on nurturing female entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

In 2024, MamAfrika forged exciting new partnerships with Action For Civil Society in Greece and Partner Organization in Turkey for the submission of a grant proposal to the Union for the Mediterranean UFM. The proposed project, ECO-PACK: Innovative Training for Sustainable Packaging in the Post-COVID E-Commerce Landscape in the Mediterranean region through e-commerce. This ambitious endeavor aims to bridge the digital divide and unleash the untapped potential of rural women as entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Thanks to the generous financial support of the Danish Refugee Council DRC, MamAfrika Organization was able to secure the necessary equipment to facilitate seamless collaboration with our esteemed partners and ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities. This crucial funding has empowered us to optimize our effectiveness in delivering impactful solutions to the communities we serve, enabling us to make a tangible and meaningful difference in their lives.

In addition to our current projects, MamAfrika Organization is pleased to announce our partnership with Italian A.S.D POLISPORTIVA P.O.R.TO. Don Bosco and Greek Three Third Society organizations are working on a migration management project funded by DG Home Internal Affairs of the European Commission. This project underscores our organization’s commitment to supporting effective migration management efforts and showcases our ability to collaborate with a variety of partners to achieve meaningful impact. The Migration Partnership Facility project we are collaborating on aims to address migration-related challenges in Morocco. The project aims to support Morocco in becoming a place of opportunity for Sub-Saharan migrants by addressing the unique challenges they face. We envision a program that empowers these migrants through personal development, entrepreneurial support, and psychological services, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need to launch and sustain successful small-sized businesses. We believe in nurturing the full potential of Sub-Saharan migrants, empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the job market. Our capacity-building initiatives will focus on personal development, equipping them with the soft and hard skills necessary for career success. Our comprehensive approach will ensure that these migrants are not just surviving, but thriving in their new home.

MamAfrika Organization is dedicated to empowering Sub-Saharan migrants in Morocco with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. Our comprehensive integration plan includes 100 subsaharan migrants to benefit from vocational training, mentorship, and entrepreneurship programs, tailored to the individual needs of each migrant.

Our comprehensive integration plan program not only addresses the practical needs of Sub-Saharan migrants but also their psychological well-being. Financial assistance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and linguistics support, combined with specialized training, will offer a lifeline to these individuals as they adjust to life in Morocco.

Our organization has demonstrated exceptional performance in the Erasmus+ program, successfully securing 10 partnerships in the first round of 2025, six under Key Action 1 (KA1) and four under Key Action 2 (KA2). Our proven success and extensive involvement in the program exemplifies our commitment to forging productive and meaningful collaborations with like-minded organizations.

Moving forward, we are actively engaged with our lead organizations under Key Action 2 (KA2) that focus on capacity building (CBY) Organization Cooperation Partnership (KA220). These new partnerships, which we have already submitted applications for, will provide us with more opportunities to make a positive impact in our target communities.

In addition to our involvement in the Erasmus+ program, MamAFrika Organization has recently submitted application forms for four projects under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC50). These projects focus on the areas of elderly care, childcare, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment (Youth4hope).

Our active participation in these ESC projects further exemplifies our commitment to addressing critical social issues and implementing positive change in our communities. Through our involvement in these projects, we aim to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable groups, promote sustainable practices, and foster youth empowerment.

These four ESC projects consist of two long-term projects and two short-term projects. The long-term projects include the Elderly Care Project and the Childcare Project, which aim to provide essential care and support services to elderly and young individuals. The short-term projects, the Environmental Sustainability Project and the Youth4hope Project, focus on promoting sustainable practices and encouraging youth engagement in community development initiatives, respectively.
