Lokalna Akcijska Grupa (LAG) Vallis Colapis

LAG Vallis Colapis was founded in 2009 as an effort of rural towns and municipalities in the north of Karlovac County to implement EU LEADER program procedures for rural development.
LAG operates in the area of 14 rural towns and municipalities and rural settlements. LAG was founded as a non profit organization whose founders are: municipalities, local public institutions such as schools, representatives of the local business sector and non profit organizations from this rural area. In the beginning of 2011 LAG Vallis Colapis opened an office in the town of Ozalj. At the moment, we employ 6 people, have 1 apprentice and we also have the help of a few volunteers (local and international).
LAG Vallis Colapis covers an area of 1025 km², and has over 36,000 inhabitants. So far, we worked on promoting sustainable development and increasing the quality of life in rural communities. Through our work we put a special emphasis on working with rural youth.
We strive to implement projects with inclusion topics for young people with few opportunities, such as rural youth. So far we have implemented and coordinated over 10 E+ projects (youth exchnages, training courses and EVS).
We have a Volunteer Centre Kupa through which we are educating and promoting volunteering with the help of our local and international volunteers.
