Lélektér Alapítvány

The ’Lélektér’ Foundation was created by people specified in social sector in 2009 with a local seat in Veszprém. In our profession, the most emphasized value is the community’s keeping power and the community’s ability to create value. There isn’t enough capacity in the child protection care system and in the institution of education to create a community, so this leads to distorted, damaged values within families. For this reason youth, children can’t get stable standards, which would help to take responsibility in social life. With this knowledge of the lack of livable communities, we started this foundation’s next project called ’LÉLEKTÉR’. Our target group is between the age of 12-30. During the years we won numerous competitions in self-development, conflict-handling and self-knowledge training. After we realized that teenagers mostly spend their free time on the internet, we started giving online guidance. We have a gap filling role in training contemporary helpers and professional youth helpers and our foundation is the only one doing this in Veszprém. Our goal, is to create a youth helper network, which gives secure support for youth in Veszprém county. Our further goal is to find those offline services, which would force the teenagers to spend their free time more gainfully, offline.
Our slogan: We couldn’t work without involving youth.
We’re in regular contact with other county or national civil organizations acting in the civil sector and helping the youth like us. We’ve been doing our activities in the youth house of Veszprém for 3 years now. Our main line of strike is drug and sex prevention, harm reduction, improving self and partner knowledge, training of the youth and their parents and their educators. We’re having supervising groups weekly for young adults with problems in their personal life.
Lélektér Foundation has been working with youth for over 10 years. Our main goals are prevention, harm reduction and personal development of the young. In order to fulfil these goals we are coordinating trainings, seminars for them, their parents and for their teachers as well.

The project implementers possess the relevant professional background, including the most important fields such as drug-prevention, child and youth protection, social work practices. The EVS coordinator has significant experience in building national and international relations, network. The mentor of the program is a young adult, the chairman of VEDIÖK (a Hungarian youth association) with impressive experience in coordinating young people.

Lélektér Alapítvány hosted and supported 3 volunteers so far. The cooperation was very successful for both parties.
