LithuaniaBIO

LithuaniaBIO is the national non-governmental association of Lithuania's life sciences, health technologies, biotechnology and bioeconomy sector, founded in 2003. We unite companies, research institutions and individuals committed to advancing science, innovation and sustainable development in these fields.
Our mission is to foster the harmonious development of the sector by representing member interests before governmental and international bodies, promoting research and innovation, supporting commercialisation of scientific results, and building an active community of professionals across Lithuania and the global diaspora.
We are actively engaged in public education — raising societal understanding of life sciences, biotechnology and bioeconomy products, their benefits and applications in everyday life. We organise seminars, conferences, qualification courses and use digital channels to disseminate knowledge to both professionals and the general public.
LithuaniaBIO supports the professional development of students and researchers, encourages international specialists to return to Lithuania, and promotes the application of life sciences and biotechnology in healthcare, agriculture, food industry and environmental protection.
