Language Exchange Bucharest (LEB)
Language Exchange Bucharest (LEB) is a non-governmental organisation founded in October 2014.
Our mission is to offer an alternative to the formal model of learning foreign languages, while promoting multilingualism and encouraging intercultural dialogue. LEB is a national community of volunteers, students, teachers, Romanians and expats alike. Our headquarters are in Bucharest, but we already have local sections in Iași and Constanța and we are working towards establishing similar communities in Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca.
Our main project consists in the organisation of free weekly language and culture clubs in 9 different languages (Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Romanian) as well as film screenings, international dinners, board games evenings, picnics, mountain trips, networking, sports and environment-related events. The clubs are open to individuals of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds looking for free of charge opportunities to improve their language and social skills.
