Küçükçekmece Municipality

Küçükçekmece Municipality is a local government established with the Law No. 3392 published in the official newspaper dated 04.07.1987. The actual commissioning date is 15.07.1988. Housing the traces of the oldest settlements in Istanbul, Küçükçekmece is the second most densely populated district of Istanbul with a population of 770,317. 50.06% of Küçükçekmece's population is male and 49.94% is female. It has people of all ages and education groups. It has 21 neighborhoods with different socio-economic groups. It has a total of 100 associations, 16,286 workplaces and 509 health institutions. Küçükçekmece Municipality, in an area of 36.5 km2, carries out all the works specified in the Municipality Law No. 5393 and other legal regulations.It carries out educational support activities with 8 information houses within the Küçükçekmece Municipality. It is open to cooperation within the scope of the Erasmus program.
