Kırkkonaklar Anatolian High School

Our project,within the scope 1.2, will be held in Ankara with the participation of disabled children,group of students sent by Children's Protection Association and about ten indigent students chosen from our school.The project ,starting on Feb 1. 2013, will be providing basketball and music/guitar,piano , with relevantly organized entertaining educational out-door activities and will last three months up to April 31.2013.
Along the project, all participants will be given theoretical information about the subjects,then demonstrations will be presented by the instructors and in for the next step,with practical exercises, they will be tranied individually in order to improve their skills and abilities.
With this project we are aiming to bring young people together who have in common such as disabilities, social and financial hardships even if they were born and grown in remote areas or even they belong to different social groups.We believe art and sport will create rather positive effect on those who suffer from sociological and economical hardships or gender bias. In this way, we intent to help them gain confidence, develop the idea of equality, social awareness and usefulness, therefore they will avoid misjudge and a common prejudice ''Disabled is the Obstacle'' so they will easily intergrate with the community.
