Institutional Structure
Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry is a public institution affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
- Provincial Directorate serves with 9 Branch Directorates and 31 District Directorates.
- Agricultural Engineer, Food Engineer, Veterinarian, especially in various professions employing 1000 staff.
Quality policy
- In line with the national policies determined by the Ministry; to identify, implement, monitor and evaluate innovative policies in order to ensure sustainable plant and animal production, access to adequate and reliable food, rural development and competitiveness.
Duties
- To prepare all kinds of provincial programs and to ensure the delivery of publications to employees, consumers and farmers. To cooperate with the producer, producer organizations, university and the private sector for the realization of the program.
- To provide new technologies and information related to the protection of environmentally sensitive natural resources and sustainability to farmers.
- Organizing and conducting practical experiments and demonstrations in cooperation with research institutes and similar institutions directly affiliated to the ministry.
- Coordinating in-service training of personnel working in the provincial directorate.
