Kolping University of Applied Sciences is a higher education institution, granting Professional Bachelor degrees. It was established by the Lithuanian Kolping Foundation, a Catholic charity and support organization in 2001 to educate and train humanistic minded professionals for the small and medium-sized business environment.
The University offers seven different programs of studies: English language, Finance, Social work, Business Management, Law, International business and Ecotourism.
The University also participates in Erasmus and LLL Programmes by initiating and administrating national and international projects, paritcipating in students' and teachers' mobility. Recent LLP (Grudtvig sub-programme) partnership project carried out by the University - WOW! („What‘s On the web“). The aim of the project was - communication between generations. Another recent project (Leonardo da Vinci sub-programme) implemented in the University “Creativity in language learning” (CILL). The purpose of the project - to share the experience of different creative language learning methods between the partnership.
The main aspect of the Kolping University of Applied Sciences culture is the personal attention and assistance to individuals in forming the basic moral attitudes of Christianity and acquiring internal strength for humanisation of social and economic environment. Kolping University follows moral guiding principles of the Kolping Society that are based on Christian social training shaping a Catholic attitude towards values of life and current activity.
