Karsiyaka Municipality (Municipal of Youth Group)

We are a local administration which is located at the northwest of Izmir. Our municipality has been estabilished in 1984.Its total are 495 km2 and population is about 350.000 . As a Karsiyaka Municipality our mission is in accordance with our principles, our mission is preserving people who lives in Karsiyaka by desining the future. In doing so, our indispensible’s are being open-minded and modern looking . All of our public services are transperent, participatory and active. Also we must able to give rational solutions to protect the culture and history. Our vision is being a municipality that design the future with the citizens who prouds of their history,culture,sports and art. As well Our staff is welcoming people all around the World. They are always cheerful with adequate equipment people.

We are the member of Union of Turkish Municipalities (TBB), Union of Municipalities of Aegean Region (EBB), Covenant of Mayors, Association of Turkey Healthy Cities,UCLG-MEWA,International Folk Dance Festival and Traditional Art Organization Council,Euro Cities, Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative,Energy Cities,Social Democrat Municapilty Association.

As I have mentioned, the responsibilities of Karsiyaka Municipality are divided into various categories, and European Union is one of the most essential ones. Karsiyaka Municipality carries out its EU activities through its Strategy Development Department which was established a year ago.

In this time we got the title of "12 Star City" by European Council. We apply for EVS to be an accredited organisations.

We have estabilished a youth group(Municipal of Youth) which deals Erasmus + Projects. Young people’s interests and needs are the most important things for us. We encourage them to involve youth projects. We need partners in doing so. If you will be one of it we will glad to.
