Jugendfunkhaus Berlin

Förderkreis Kunst, Kultur und Jugend e.V. (FKKJ) was founded in 1993. FKKK works on lokal, regional, national and international level. The main focus is on fostering, cultural education, media and open space for Kids and youngsters. All activities take place in the arts and culture center „Jugendfunkhaus“.
The general orientation of the FKKJ is the advancement of the intellectual and cultural live by developing, organising and promoting international youth exchanges, music and arst projects, youth work and events in the fields of radio, music, art, dance, theater, media and sports. We emphasize the fostering of key competences, vocatianol preparation and the prevention of violence and addiction. We work in the sense of inclusion and particpation in particular consideration of social disadvanted youngsters and children. We support youth initiatives and take over responsibility in planing, organising and promoting international cultural projects. We have a close collaboration with the youth welfare service, the local NGO’s and our international partners in the field of youth work. The „Jugendfunkhaus“ is the fusion of Berlin based musicians, sound engineers, artists and technicians, who work in the field of music, radio, movement, arts, culture, radio, media and IT. Since long time we promote sucessfully workshops, events and projects on national and international level. The Jugendfunkhaus“ has an extensive network and good contacts in the the local music and artists scene. We can ressort on the support of professionell partners in the fields of event equipment and technology, radio, media and music. We are internationaly cross linked and we continously extend our international collaboration. Our main activities are music and movement, training the senses, sensibilisation of social interaction, develop and create activities for social disadvanted children and youngsters, vicinity celebrations, international projects as well as the visualisation and validation of the projects results and our international networking. The „Jugendfunkhaus“ offers an open scope for development for youth-culture and leisure activities for everyone between 12 -27 years. We promote sustainable cultural activities for the young as one of the most important aspects in developing social cohesion. The main focus is on activities in the field of music, arts, dance, thetaer, concerts, jamsessions, instrumental courses, workshops and trainings. We offer a huge space for leisure activities with a selfservice kitchen, an eventroom, a fully equipped stage, a raido studio, rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, an internet cafe, and a screen printing studio. In the outside area we offer a gardening project, a basketball fiel, a graffiti wall and a meadow for table tennis, active games and teambuildung. In all the activietis the youngsters are supported by the stuff as well as by freelance artists and technicians. The participants can learn and improve their skills in the numberous workshops and courses like audio recording, stage performance, sound and light technique, radio, drumset, guitar, bass, keyboard, brass, percussion, singing, dance, acting, songwriting, drawing and serigrtaphy. They develop new competences by taking over an active role in the planing, organising and performing cultural youth events like concerts, thetaer performnaces, lectures, poetry slams, open stages, live-radio-shows and jamsessions.
