Jelenlét Foundation

The main aim of Jelenlét Kulturális és Közművelődési Alapítvány (Jelenlét Foundation), established in 2019 and based primarily in Szeged, Hungary, is to create a professional community concerned with organizing cultural and public events (concerts, festivals, exhibitions, workshops) and to support artists and artistic communities. Crossborder cooperation is of paramount importance to us, as we believe that such endavors enhance the cultural life and social cohesion of communities of both sides of the border. The foundation also strives to enhance cooperation between domestic and international organizations of the similar profile, to initiate open sharing of experience and knowledge, and active discussions.

activities of our organization are of a broad variety, all related to its main goals. These include:
-organizing and facilitating professional artistic events, such as exhibitions, film screenings, forums, conferences, workshops, and debates)
-cultural development, such as creating and maintaining exhibitions spaces
-education and development relevant to the field, popularizing the arts by organizing workshops, trainings, training courses, adult educations, advanced training, remote counselling
-conducting research related to culture, arts, cultural policies, and other relevant areas, publishing and disseminating research results
-translating relevant publications
-maintaining contact with domestic and international professional organizations and authorities
-publishing online and printed journals, periodicals, studies, textbooks, learning materials, notes, research reports, reviews, and other papers related to culture and the arts
-art- and cultural management, relevant counselling activities
