Italia Orienta

Italia Orienta is an educational and training association devoted to enforce youth capacities and their emotional and cognitive potential. It is based on their needs and expectations. We are committed to support and encourage students to make a responsible and informed choices about their educational and professional future. The experts of ItaliaOrienta have a wide variety of skills. Psychologists, philosophers, journalists, counselors, economists, sociologists, engineers work together as researchers, counselors and trainers for the development of an innovative method and in line with the 2020 Europe strategy. A strong structure of guidance and counseling services and projects tailored for students, helps to combat early school leaving, the NEET phenomenon and youth unemployment. The Steering Committee of Italian Orienta develops guidance, training and counseling tools and educational practices, as a result of scientific researches, publications, workshops and seminars. Moreover, we are committed to create a solid network among schools (at national and international level) in order to shape together social and educational good practices. Some of our focus activities are: Educational Tour (counseling “on the road” along Italian high schools); OrientaMedia (educational project for students who should choose a high school); Educational and Training Modules addressed to students, teachers, school principals and parents. We have, recently published a series of books entitled “Io scelgo le professioni” (Choosing my profession) describing in detail the professions related to different educational areas.Finally, we organize and promote educational and career counseling fairs in order to train and inform young people about educational and work opportunities: OrientaSud, il Salone delle opportunità (www.orientasud.it) and Young International Forum, www.younginternationalforum.com
