The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports is a public authority operating under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye. Our organisation aims to support the physical, social and personal development of young people, promote sport as a lifelong culture, and encourage active citizenship.

Within this framework, we implement comprehensive activities at local, national and international levels in the fields of youth work, sport activities, volunteering programmes and inclusive practices. On behalf of the Ministry, we host international organisations, meetings and events in Istanbul, bringing together stakeholders from different countries.

Our organisation provides accommodation services for university students in cooperation with the Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) and manages student dormitories with a total capacity of approximately 70,000 beds. In addition, we operate 18 youth centres and hundreds of sport facilities across Istanbul, ensuring accessible and high-quality services for young people and athletes. Through our offices located at universities, we maintain direct contact with students and carry out information and outreach activities.

We actively participate in the Erasmus+ Programme by implementing mobility and cooperation projects in the fields of youth, sport and education, supporting young people, youth workers, coaches and sport professionals in gaining international experience. Furthermore, we provide grant-related guidance and mentoring support to young people in project development processes, enhancing their access to national and international funding opportunities.

In cooperation with UNICEF, our organisation implements inclusion-focused projects aimed at children and young people, prioritising equal opportunities, social cohesion and the participation of disadvantaged groups. We promote innovative and inclusive approaches that use sport as a tool for social development and aim to exchange good practices and build sustainable international partnerships.

As the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, we are open to cooperation with organisations aiming to develop young people’s international vision and active citizenship skills through Erasmus+ projects. We value sustainable partnerships based on quality, transparency and inclusion, and seek partners active or interested in youth work, sport, volunteering and international mobility. We are ready to develop long-term, impact-oriented projects built on mutual learning and cooperation.
