Intensify World

Intensify World is a non-profit organisation founded in 2019 in Macieira de Rates, a rural community in Barcelos, northern Portugal. Its mission is to create opportunities, respond to social challenges and contribute to the inclusive and sustainable development of local communities.

The organisation works across four main areas: education, solidarity, environment and technology. Its activities promote social inclusion, equal opportunities, active citizenship, digital literacy, environmental awareness, intergenerational learning and community participation. Particular attention is given to young people, older people and individuals facing social, economic or geographical barriers.

Intensify World uses non-formal education and technology as tools for empowerment. Its initiatives include educational workshops, solidarity campaigns, community activities, environmental actions and practical experiences involving robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, programming and software development.

The organisation works with local stakeholders, schools, community organisations and social-sector institutions. Its multidisciplinary team combines expertise in engineering, technology, training, youth work and European project management. Intensify World has experience in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects, including youth exchanges, small-scale partnerships and solidarity initiatives.
