Instituto Nossa Senhora da Encarnação - Externato Cooperativo da Benedita

Externato Cooperativo da Benedita is a department of the Nossa Senhora da Encarnação Institute, an association of Teaching and Culture.
We are an association school that does public educational service through an agreement with the Portuguese State.
Our target public is young people between 12 to 18 years of age, divided from the 7th to the 12th grades, including Vocational Studies, in a total of 1200 students.
We are a Project School, that is immediately based on a local development project, and has always been developed and founded on a culture of Teaching and Learning based on projects
From Science to Theatre
From the Mathematics, Physics and Biology Olympiads
to School Sports
From Music to Chess.
All our students integrate themselves in this spirit of building and learning, actively cooperating in solidarity projects in and outside the school, locally and nationally.
Today the world is not just our small town, nor our country. Our life is part of the world, our country is part of Europe and we want our students to be a part of this larger project that we all have been building since 1957.
This is the right moment to open ourselves to Europe, expanding our educational project, based on the idea of SUSTAINABILITY and MOBILITY and promoting on our young people values of Humanity and of European Citizenship.
