I.R.T.E.A, created by specialized young scientists, aims to bridge the gap between the academic knowledge and the society, politics and the business world. We promote structured and open dialogue between the civil society and EU officials and foster civic engagement, through innovative projects and activities.

I.R.T.E.A. is an experienced organisation in implementing transnational and EU funded projects on the topics of European citizenship, EU policies, Social Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, Training on Skills and Competences, Youth Work, Migration etc. Within our projects, we have been dealing with young people, focusing on those with fewer opportunities that face social and economic obstacles. Non- formal learning tools, methodology and activities are applied within our projects.

I.R.T.E.A, as an expertise organisation in e-learning and development of MOOC courses, has developed our e-learning platform “CEREBRUM” and a Virtual Reality participation game for young people and students.

During our 11-year experience, we have been implementing a great number of Youth Exchanges, Youth Trainings, Strategic Partnerships in the fields of Youth & School Education, KA3 projects and Europe for Citizens programs. Youth Centers, VR in Schools, Environmental Behavior, Youth Policy, Youth Enterpreneurship, Volunteerism are some key topics of the abovementioned projects.

I.R.T.E.A is an accredited organisation for the European Solidarity Corps Program and hosts 4 young volunteers. It is also accredited as a youth NGO to the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and as an Institution for lobbying and policy making promotion by the European Parliament. Apart from the EU funded projects, we implement the biggest European Institution simulation in Greece and South Europe, with the participation of more than 300 university students each year.
