INGEFIEX - Asociación para la Innovación, Energía, Cultura y Deporte

INGEFIEX is a Non-profit Youth Association made in January 2015 by 5 young engineers from Badajoz, a small city in the West-South of Spain.

The aim of INGEFIEX is to motivate a social change towards a sustainable energy model and to support initiatives or ideas of other young people to develop their projects. Being its principal purpose was to educate young people about the wellness of energy efficiency, innovation and entrepreneurship while teaching people in general how all this concepts could improve their society, surroundings or their own life. All of it with a clear focus, pursuing a reduction of energy consumption by improving people’s habits, raising environmental awareness and promoting renewable energy.

However, as the association has grown during the past two years reaching a total amount of 250 members, there have been other centers of interest included like responsible consumption of other natural resources, the power of self-confidence and coaching or the importance of traveling abroad in life.

INGEFIEX is a place where young people can find a multidisciplinary team with who create or develop new ideas to solve social issues. Fruit of it are entrepreneurship projects like ‘Mi.Luz’, a new start-up based in the Internet of Things, or ‘Eficae Soluciones’, a company focused in energy efficiency or educational projects like ‘Controla tu energia’, a battery of formative sessions for high schools to show what they can do to improve their consumption habits.

Even though the association was born recently, it has done a great variety of activities within this time.
