IMPACTsci is a neurodivergent-led social enterprise established in 2022 to address systemic exclusion in education and training. It operates at the intersection of research, innovation, and practice, designing inclusive, evidence-based digital tools and methodologies that align with the cognitive profiles of neurodivergent learners. Drawing from neuroscience, cognitive science, and universal design principles, IMPACTsci develops learning solutions that promote meaningful engagement and skill acquisition for diverse target groups.
IMPACTsci employs participatory and co-design methodologies, ensuring that neurodivergent learners and researchers actively shape the tools and processes developed. IMPACTsci’s core activities include bespoke course and microcredentials design, training toolkit development, accessibility auditing, Learning design & inclusive pedagogies, accessibility and UDL implementation, capacity-building, and evaluation of learning outcomes through an equity lens. These are delivered across a range of formal, non-formal, and informal learning contexts.
IMPACTsci currently consists of four full-time neurodivergent professionals with expertise in education, technology, and social research, and engages part-time assistants as required. It maintains an expert advisory board of 20 neurodivergent professionals and collaborates with over 50 partner organisations across Europe.
