IJVAS conceived the project “Jazz Goes to School with Paolo Fresu and Gegè Telesforo. Musicians Meet the New Generation,” which is aimed at young students and is led by great artists of jazz music who, in their
mission of being an artist, recognize the great educational function of music. The meetings take place in educational institutions, auditoriums, theaters
theaters and music venues and involve pupils from Comprehensive Institutes of the national territory. In 2024, “International Jazz Day” was organized: a day of concerts, jam sessions, meetings, presentations, and award ceremonies featuring multiple generations of Musicians representing the creative vitality of the jazz scene, with the educational mission of engaging in a generational cross over.
