IISR International Institute for Strategic Research

The IISR International Institute for Strategic Research is an independent, youth-driven initiative that operates primarily at the international level, fostering inclusive educational and cooperation platforms for young people worldwide. Since our establishment in 2023, we have engaged youth from 107 countries and 351 universities, building an active alumni network of over 1,300 individuals.

At IISR, our mission is to advance education and international cooperation as key drivers of human development. By building bridges across cultures, we empower youth to overcome educational barriers and actively contribute to shaping a more inclusive and interconnected global society.

Through organizing various international initiatives - including capacity-building training, schools, webinars, conferences, and forums - we ensure youth involvement in open dialogue processes. Most of our work is conducted online, engaging hundreds of young people from Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, and North America. In-person projects are implemented in Georgia and internationally within the framework of Erasmus+.

At IISR, we specialize in youth-focused non-formal education, international collaboration, and capacity-building. We primarily operate internationally in close cooperation with various universities and organizations across different countries. Our initiatives are grounded in non-formal education principles, integrating peer learning, international dialogue and skill development through interactive methods such as workshops, simulation games and case analysis.

On a local level in Georgia, we partner with universities, civil society organizations and international institutions to organize in-person youth trainings, primarily targeting the 18–29 age group.

● Conflict analysis and peacebuilding
● Communication skills

To date, we have received 4,849 applications from 132 countries for our various programs. Through our annual initiatives - such as the Spring School on International Law (https://youtu.be/ypA_MJkCosQ), the International Students Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference (https://youtu.be/VEnTn5nHwDA), local youth trainings in Georgia (https://youtu.be/9562JoS6Atg), and Erasmus+ KA1 mobility projects, we provide unique learning experiences to young people from around the world.
