IES Imaxe e Son

Like all third level education institutions in Europe, IES Imaxe e Son is acknowledged as an important driving force in the audiovisual sector, from the sphere of production and direction to animation and videogames. The growth of this sector is widely based on the knowledge and constant formation of its participants -teachers, students and professionals .
Since the establishment of our institution in 1990, our curriculum has undergone major changes to constantly adapt the formation of our students to the needs of the society of technology and the demands of new ways of learning. We contribute each year with increasing numbers of qualified professionals that obtain their certificates through our educational modalities - normal education, adult courses, online courses- , and strive to incorporate new studies, such as 3D animation, videogames and interactive environments.
We consider that this constant renovation and innovation leads to a better quality of teaching and learning. The mobility projects will enhance this quality, not only professionally but culturally and personal as well.
Apart from establishing connections with enterprises that host our student placements, we hope to enter the audiovisual investigation field.
In collaboration with other entities we hope to maximice financial efficiency both in any project and in our educational centre itself.
