Ίδρυμα Εργοδότησης / Εκπαίδευσης Νεολαίας (IEEN) - IDRYMA ERGODOTISIS EKPEDEFSIS NEOLEAS (IEEN)

IEEN is a Cyprus NGO with key aim to assist young people develop further, both professionally and personally, using methods derived from non-formal education. IEEN aims at assisting among others in the development of work related attributes among the young people of Cyprus and also at assisting these people during the first years of work after their studies. Also, IEEN provides support or mentoring to young people during their first years of employment through a number of professionals on a free or low charge. Functioning as a platform which promotes empowerment of youth in professional and soft skills, via local and European projects, IEEN has coordinated and participated in a number of European projects under the umbrella of Erasmus+. We also specialize in inter-generational projects, bringing older mentors in support of younger vulnerable groups and empowering the young to teach IT skills to the 60+ age groups. We operate an ongoing social enterprise called Second Life, through which used toys and other kids’ items are being re-packaged and sold by young and older volunteers in support of our programs.
