Our main activities:
The shelter and office: Residence for the rescued animals, the shelter is where most of the daily activities take place (Feeding the dogs, giving treatments, cleaning the kennels, education and training tasks, administration work, visits for adoptions)
Events often take place in the shelter: Pet therapy, dog training classes…
Rescue of animals on the Island + birth control
Organization of activities and events in order to inform the public and raise awareness on animal welfare and environment issues on Ibiza, to give people the opportunity to get to know animals better, to raise funds for the organization and daytrips with underprivileged children and disabled people.
Work on the ecological development of our activities, in the shelter and the household, in order to become more self-sufficient and to get a better connection with nature. We collaborate with different entities and people with whom we work on organic vegetable farming. We believe that choosing a more natural lifestyle will bring us closer to nature and animals, and a more healthy and dignified life, especially as we have low economic resources and live in a remote area.
IBIZA4PATAS’s funds come from membership fees, donations from individuals and small
fundraising events, but in a close future, we would like to offer a range of services that
would help to cover the costs of the shelter.
In Ibiza and Formentera, we want to create a network of people who love animals which
would help to communicate rapidly and effectively on cases of neglect, abuse, missing
pets and adoptions.
Within a few years, Ibiza4Patas, created a on-line information service, the first adoptation
day event on the island and a emergency call service.
We also have a programme to help treat the dogs who’s owners have financial problems.
Share an experience of ecological agriculture, that serves as an example, inspiration and instruct to all young to see another point of view more sustainable.
