The Hungarian Special Arts Workshop Association (HSAWA) is a national arts development organization was founded more than 20 years ago. It is working to support, inspire, and create opportunities for artists with different abilities.

We are looking for the answers for the following questions: How do stereotypes affect our understanding of the world and each other? What does being disabled mean? Can we just all get along? What would we need to do?

You don’t need permission to take initiative and call yourself an artist. We found groups of people who challenge and inspire us.
With 95 national affiliates and a network of international affiliates, HSAWA is providing arts and education programming for youth and adults with disabilities across Europe.
Each year, 4000 people of all ages and abilities participate in HSAWA programs, in every aspect of the arts. Our programming includes participative art projects, workshops, exchanges, theatre performances, exhibitions and among other things national and international festivals.

There is no greater sense of purpose than following your passion. But art isn’t easy! It takes years and years of work before you get anywhere near your masterpiece. Focus your energy on your art!
