Horizon Dakhla

Horizon Dakhla is a youth-led non-profit association based in Dakhla, in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region of Morocco. The organisation works to create opportunities for young people to become more active, skilled, connected and involved in the development of their communities.

Our activities focus on youth empowerment, civic engagement, leadership, sports, environmental awareness, sustainable development and community-based initiatives. We aim to provide young people with practical experiences beyond the academic environment through workshops, events, volunteering activities, cultural exchanges, sports projects and partnerships with local and national stakeholders.

Horizon Dakhla also seeks to strengthen cooperation between young people, public institutions, civil society organisations and private-sector partners. Through these collaborations, the association develops projects that respond to local needs while promoting innovation, inclusion, responsibility and active citizenship.

Because Dakhla is a region with strong potential in tourism, water sports, environmental preservation and sustainable development, the association places particular importance on initiatives that highlight the territory while involving local youth in its future development.

At the international level, Horizon Dakhla is interested in youth exchanges, training programmes, volunteering opportunities, intercultural dialogue and partnerships with organisations from other countries. We believe that international mobility and cross-cultural experiences can help young people develop new skills, broaden their perspectives and bring valuable knowledge back to their local communities.

Our long-term objective is to build a strong platform for youth engagement in Dakhla and to develop sustainable projects that create meaningful social impact, strengthen local capacity and connect young people from the region with national and international opportunities.
