High school: Liceo artistico

The Istituto d’Arte has recently merged with the Liceo artistico. The New Art School offers a choice of six new trainings: figurative, architecture and environment, design, set design, graphics, multimedia and audiovisual. It’s a sharp expansion of the courses. In the new Art School new possibilities open up, relating to new jobs,new professions, to new realities. Nevertheless the traditional guidelines still remain, along with workshops, Wood, Ceramic, Jewellery. Fundamental goal of the Art Institute is join to a more general cultural background a specific training in the field of applied arts, which allows students the knowledge of the different thought, ideational processes and the expliciting of their creative, organizational and design skills. Arts and applied arts are the focus of our educational offer, meant both as a study of the past heritage and as a creative experience which expresses itself in the time being, in compliance with the cultural and productive reality of the territory where it is located. Students who attend this school come from various neighbouring towns namely Ruvo,Trani, Barletta, Gravina, Andria, Minervino, Bisceglie,Terlizzi,Bitonto,several kilometers away, a rather diversified in take.The whole staff,with the help of specilized personnel,takes care of the multi faceted problems to cope with,from failures in results achievements to discontinuous attendance,from economically and culturally disadvantaged backgrounds to SEN students.The main goal of our school is to help pupils give a positive value to themselves,to learning and school activities,encourage perseverance in achieving positive results even when there are demotivating behaviours such as boredom,fear of failure,uncommunicativeness or apathy,to create a favorable climate and friendly relationship in which all students are individually valued and respected,thus promoting an accurate personal growth.It is in this context that our resolution to take part in a European project was born,with the aim of offering a variety of experiences that will enable our students to discover what their talents are and enhance them,enhance communication skills,improve language proficiency in the mother tongue and foreign,encourage a productive and effective learning method by working with foreign peers,be available in teaming up and contribute to the realization of a better society,have an awareness of their abilities in order to design their own future.
