Hezkide Eskola

Hezkide Eskola was created in 1977 to answer to the needs of educational leisure time associations, to strengthen them and to offer training to the youth counsellors and manager of these educational leisure time associations.

Nowadays, in addition to covering the training needs of the leisure time associations, we also offer training in the areas of volunteering and socio cultural promotion, among other things. However, training is not the only thing we do. We work in cooperation with leisure time associations, we manage our local volunteering agency called Gizalde; we manage a youth hostel, that works with local schools, entities and other associations; we also manage other services for youth such as summer camps programs, even though our main area is youth, we also work in areas such as drug dependency and activities for functionally diverse people, all of this through the pedagogy of educational leisure time.

We always keep in touch with the local associations and citizens initiatives in our local area and we share our experience and work with other entities in the autonomous region of the Basque Country.
