Heima Association is a non profit/non governamental organization, apolitical wich was recently founded in 2015, 2nd of October, in Satu Mare, Romania. The founders are coming from different working fields:psychology, education in the youth area, justice.
Other objectives of Heima Association are:
-promoting intercultural education through non-formal and collaboration with the public education system.
-To promote education through arts and culture to a wide audience.
-Increase a better knowledge and understanding between minorities and between majority and minorities, through the development of interethnic and intercultural activities with and by promoting policies to combat racial and ethnic intolerance; -To promote better rights for persons belonging to national minorities under Romanian law and international standards;
-Knowledge and enhancement of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of national minorities;
- Participation in programs, events and international campaigns promoting contacts and dialogue between ethnicities, languages, and culture.
-Exchange of experience and good practice between cultural organizations;
-Education and training for professionals and cultural organizations in order to acquire, among other things, new skills to support community development
-Creating opportunities for easier access of unemployed people in the labor market: training, retraining education, training, counseling and guidance;
-Providing employment services, such as information and counseling, assistance, mentoring, tutoring, professional orientation, counseling, employment mediation
Target group:children , young people women, elderly people, with ages between 6-70 years old coming from different backgrounds(social, economical, cultural ).
