Hazissa

The association Hazissa, an institute for the prevention of sexualized violence, was established in January 2003.
Everyone can be affected by sexualized violence: children, adolescents, women and men. Particularly at risk are girls and women, people in institutions (e.g. homes) or other relationships of dependence as well as women and men with disabilities.
Hazissa is trying to support the changing of social and institutional power structures, awareness raising and information for the general public, trainings and knowledge transfer for parents and pedagogues, caregivers, children, adolescents, women and men with disabilities. This work prevents the incidence of sexualized violence and supports the helper system in detection and processing of sexualized violence.
Hazissa also benefits from different professions and skills. Psychology and education, social work, supervision and research provide a variety of approaches and ongoing development of prevention programs.
Networking and close cooperation with experts from science and practice and internal research accompanies and evaluate the implementation of prevention programs.
