Gulnar Municipality is the local authority of the Gulnar district in Mersin. The district is located at 950 meters in the Taurus Mountains, covers 1,769 km² and consists of 50 neighborhoods, 80% of which are rural. The municipality works in environmental sustainability, digital transformation, social services, cultural heritage preservation, rural development, and smart governance. Reducing geographic disadvantages and ensuring equal access to services for all neighborhoods are core priorities. A Project Development Team has been established to design projects aligned with EU and national funds, actively supporting innovative initiatives, improved service access, and stronger international cooperation. In this context, Gulnar Municipality is ready to join EU projects as a partner and expand collaboration opportunities.
