Greenways Social Cooperative Enterprise

Our aim is to create sustainable green jobs through: 1. Promoting and communicating sustainable mobility and accessibility 2. Planning and certifying cycle routes and green ways, 3. Organizing events, campaigns, projects 4. Lifelong learning, training 5. Auditing bike-friendly services and sustainable mobility and cycling policies. 6. Physical activity and active leisure activities promotion.

National Coordinator of MOVE Week in Greece, with over 120 events organized national wide during European MOVE Week 2014 organized by ISCA and ECF and supported by EU. The events were held under the auspices of Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Sports and Culture and Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace and the support of National Hellenic Youth Council and Thessaloniki European Youth Capital 2014. Planning and survey activities, sustainable transport and tourism offers for the project of South East Europe " Iron Curtain Trail : Sustainable mobility along the new cycling route EuroVelo» (http://cyclistswelcome.gr/).

Communication activities for the project Intelligent Energy Europe "CycleLogistics" for cargo bikes ( www.cyclelogistics.gr).

Cycling tourism offers for the project “Supporting the enhancement and promotion of transnational thematic tourism products" EUROVELO 8 –the Mediterranean Route.

BICIKLOPEDIA – a four-day cycling conference with more than 160 cyclists from 28 organisations and 19 cities of Greece and Cyprus participated. Organised with the co-operation of Heinrich Boll Foundation, Green Institute, European Youth Capital Thessaloniki 2014 and the support of Network of Greek Green Cities and the European Cyclists Federation.( http://www.biciklopedia.org/).
