The Association of The People caring for the future, NGO, is a scientifically-oriented civil society organization established in 2013 by a diverse group of experts, businesspeople, and scientists. The association's foundational goal is to contribute to humanity by monitoring global developments, analyzing key issues, and implementing projects that yield lasting benefits.
GÖNDER's core strategy is to integrate scientific research, innovative technologies, and collaborative partnerships to address significant social, environmental, and economic challenges. The organization combines global best practices with local expertise to develop sustainable policies, implement practical projects, and enhance public awareness, thereby maximizing its long-term impact. The association's vision is to be a leading civil society network that shapes the future through fair, sustainable, and innovative solutions powered by science, technology, and humanity.
The organization's aims are to mobilize Turkey's potential through research and studies in various fields, to follow international developments, and to prepare reports to inform decision-makers. GÖNDER produces solutions through national and international studies, training, and projects, and in essence, supports anyone with a great idea for the world. The association's mission is to research, develop, and implement solutions in fields such as artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, natural resources, environment, health, education, and agriculture, working with stakeholders to deliver sustainable and lasting benefits to society.
GÖNDER's activities and expertise span a wide range of fields as outlined in its bylaws: science, industry, technology, health, sports, arts, education, tourism, employment, trade, and economy. The organization also focuses on information systems, communication, artificial intelligence, energy, security, and occupational health and safety. Other key areas include political sciences, international relations, public administration, agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental protection, climate change, and the protection of biological diversity. GÖNDER is also dedicated to sustainable development, human development aid, and defending the rights of "disadvantaged groups" such as the disabled, women, children, youth, refugees, and minorities, as well as the improvement of animal, environmental, and civil rights.
The association has extensive experience in designing and implementing projects that bring together youth, experts, and institutions from different disciplines. Key activities include organizing capacity-building training, seminars, and workshops for young people on topics like the environment, climate change, sustainable development, and digital transformation. The organization also develops and implements local, national, and international projects in cooperation with universities, NGOs, municipalities, and public institutions. It works to promote equal opportunity and access to information for disadvantaged groups and supports youth engagement in international networks and EU-funded projects to enhance intercultural dialogue and cooperation. The key staff involved have strong expertise in EU project management, youth empowerment, and international cooperation, with skills in designing training programs, conducting research, and building partnerships.
