German Youth for European Unity e.V. (GYEU)

German Youth for European Unity e.V. (GYEU) is a non-profit organization based in Cuxhaven, Germany, committed to fostering European Unity, intercultural understanding, and active participation among young people.

Originally founded as an informal group in 2018, GYEU has evolved into a registered association (e.V.) with the aim of creating meaningful international learning experiences. We design and implement youth exchanges, training courses, and other projects within the framework of Erasmus+ and beyond.

Our work is based on non-formal education, peer learning, and intercultural dialogue. We create inclusive and participatory environments where young people can develop personal, social, and intercultural competences while engaging with relevant societal topics.

Our main areas of focus include:

Active citizenship and participation in democratic life
Inclusion and equal opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities
Environmental awareness and sustainability
Intercultural exchange and European identity

As a diverse and motivated team with academic and practical backgrounds, we are connected within different networks, which enables us to reach and engage committed participants. We value long-term partnerships, reliability, and open communication, and we are always interested in developing new project ideas together with international partners.
