Fundatia Inimă pentru Inimă

The Inimă pentru Inimă Foundation, born on July 23rd 1997, has as statutory objectives the promotion of children’s rights and the supervision of the manner in which they are respected, the integration of the child in substitute families, including the internal and international adoption, the restructuring of the system of social services for people in need, the improvement of the living conditions of institutionalized children by the collaboration with public authorities.

It is the promoter of several innovative projects: “The network of family houses" established since 1999, the Centre for Socio-professional integration for the young people from placement centres, who reach the age of 18, since 2002.
In 2005, the Heart to Heart Foundation is accredited as a provider of social services and then reaccredited in 2008. All social services within the organization are reaccredited with this opportunity.

Today, the Inimă pentru Inimă Foundation develops activities in the field of child and family protection in the counties of Valcea, Brasov, Tulcea, Braila.
The target group with which our organization works in general is children and young people in difficulty or in situations of social risk. Of course there are also developed activities for indirect beneficiaries, respectively children and young families, the local communities from which they originate.
Currently we are developing the following activities:
• Centres of socialization for young people coming from institutions of protection;
• The socio-professional service that has as target group young people from institutions, who have completed an education form and are supported to get a job, activities of job-coaching;
• Day centers, day care services for children aged between 3-14, organized in poor communities, (Copacelu neighbourhood from Ramnicu Valcea, towns Ocnele Mari from Valcea county, the town Macin from Tulcea county, a neighbourhood of the city Braila);
• Socialization of children through sport - project of integration in the society through sports for young people coming from placement centres. Project conducted in collaboration with FC Internazionale Milano. It is a socio-educational project in which young people are integrated in local football teams, they participate to organized periodic trainings, as well as local, national and international organized competitions. Within the project there are children and young people from families with low incomes as well as children and young people from the system of children protection. The target group consists of children and adolescents aged between 8 and 14 years.
• The program of volunteering in favour of children and young people from placement centres. Attracting Romanian and foreign volunteers, collaboration with organizations and public institutions in Romania and abroad in order to develop recreational activities and of socialization for children and youths from the system of children protection from Romania in the counties Braila, Tulcea, Brasov, Mehedinti, Valcea, Bucharest.
The Inimă pentru Inimă Foundation hosts each year, since 1998, volunteers from European countries developing social animation activities with institutionalized children in partnership with NGOs from the countries of origin of the volunteers, such as: Cuore per Cuore – Italy, Bambini in Romania - Milan, Italy, Comunità Nuova – Italy, Coeur pour Coeur - France, Aiutare i bambini - Italy.
