“Bratniak” – Students and Graduates’ Foundation of the Jagiellonian University began its activity in January 1991 in Cracow.
Within our wide range of activities, we support youth (19-30) in their local and international initiatives in field of culture, art, drama, environment, unemployment/employment, social media, gender equality, combat stereotypes, social exclusion, and many more.
On local level we financially support promotion of students culture (co-organizing or financing numerous cultural initiatives, including festivals, promoting artistic activity of students’ works and vernissages). We also promote students’ knowledge and abilities by supporting scientific activities and various students project (cooperation with academic circles, financing scientific expeditions, researches and projects, helping in the publication of scientific issues). We organize various conferences, symposiums and international projects. Our Foundation also supports publication of cultural, news and scientific magazines.
Our target group are mainly students in age between 19-30 year old.
Since 2003 we have organized many interesting projects, training courses, contact making seminar within Youth in Action programme. Our projects enriched many youngsters from various countries in cross-cultural experiences, knowledge about YiA programme and contacts which resulted in new projects.
During Bratniaks Foundation activity we gained partnerships with many youth organizations. Some of them turned into long-term co-operation.
FOLK it! is the idea of inspiring young people to traditions of many nations. We want to take better care for saving the folk traditions from our countries.
