Fundación EVEHO

Eveho Foundation based in Sabadell, Barcelona, was born in 2002. This foundation is private and promotes, develops projects, and actions that enable social and occupational integration and inclusion of young people at risk of social exclusion.

The pedagogical lines from the Foundation are:

• Promoting freedom and respect for the rest of the community, without distinction of race or creed, focusing on all initiatives, which make coexistence an experience of respect for everything around us whether people, spaces, or cultures.
• Training people to make their choices and opinions to the ethical, moral, and religious issues that surround us and that many of them assume as out of reach, precisely because of the way in which they live them.
• Promoting positive experiences that are tailored to the specific needs of children in situations of social marginalization.

The Foundation aims to:

1. Promote projects that facilitate the employment of people at risk of social exclusion.
2. Ensure consistency on the intervention with an excluded group.
3. Ensure training activities as an educational resource and social integration and provide adequate training for future professionals.
4. Create platforms with other entities or administrations.
5. Raise awareness of companies from the labor market so they can be receptive to the inclusion of people of the indicated group above.

Furthermore, from 2021 EVEHO has a technical project office, ARKE’, to support the design and implementation of relevant projects, ensuring high quality and involvement in all the project phases. The unit is composed of 3 project managers, experts in EU projects, with a cumulative experience of more than 20 years, liaising with two technical staff who are daily supporting operations. This scheme ensures professionalism in terms of compliance with EU and National regulations, when it comes to the management, as well as a deep understanding and contact with the field and the final target group.

EVEHO Foundation has been created, designed and implementation project directed to children and young people, in order to foster their inclusion based on five dimensions:

• Employability and soft skill development
• Housing
Training and vocational education
• Participation in the community
• Psycho-social support

It also offers the T-Jove Program to work with young people related to employment, education, volunteering and free time, etc. Finally, the Eveho Foundation has an orientation service and socio-professional accompaniment in Sabadell for young people between 16 and 21 years. The activities are carried out in the Residential Centres of Educational Action, (CRAE) as:

• CRAE Pere Quart located in Mataró, which has a capacity for 24 children and young people between 3 and 16 years.
• CRAE Joan Torras loca located in Barcelona, which has a capacity of 20 young people between 12 and 13 years.
• Itinere - flat located in Sabadell, which is an assisted flat for 8 teenagers between 16 and 18 years.
• Josep Llar Pola, located in Terrassa, a home for 10 boys between 16 and 18 years.
• Youth residence, located in Sabadell for 13 young people between 16 and 18 years.

Lately, the organization is also promoting rural development and sustainability through her new infrastructure in a small village, where youth can learn agricultural-related matters and animal farming. Lastly, a new project in the region of Tarragona has just started: a social restaurant aiming to train youth with risky behaviors towards autonomy and a career in the hostelry field.

The organization is also promoting non-formal education activities based on different sports and outdoor activities to support the development of soft skills and accompany youth in their entrepreneurial ideas.
