The Regional Federation of the Houses of Youth and Culture (FRMJC) of Picardie is an association of popular and non-formal education registered by the state. It brings together associations working in the areas of youth, social actions and cultural development in the departments (county) of Aisne, Oise and Somme.
As a partner of more than 30 small towns and town communities, the FRMJC gets the financial support, of the Picardie region and of the general Council of the 3 departments, for all the activities towards the youth.
The FRMJC develops its educative project by the means of cultural and educational activities, which aim at changing the individual and collective behaviour.
Our major activities are:
- The management of two cinema centres and 2 itinerant networks which allow projecting movies in 50 small towns.
- Organizing a network of places displaying living entertainment
- The implementation of artistic workshops
- Supervision of professional training of youth workers
- Organization of training course for voluntary workers
- Managing projects of leisure activities and of youth and culture houses on behalf of local communities
- Implementation of an advisory service for associations and towns
The FRMJC and its houses of youth and culture (MJC) could be presented in a few figures:
- an accrued budget of 7.6 million of Euros
- 300 regular activities
- 600 employees
- 800 volunteers
- 15 000 members
The project involves bringing together a sixty young Europeans aged 14 to 17 and six different nationalities from 3 to 11 August 2015 in France.
