Fondazione Libra ETS

Fondazione Libra ETS is a European Centre based in Padua, Italy, dedicated to the systemic prevention and intervention of bullying, cyberbullying, gender-based violence, and relational violence affecting young people and adults.

Founded on the experience of the long-running “Frena il Bullo” project, Libra operates through an integrated model combining prevention, psychological and legal support, training and research. Our work is implemented through regional hubs across Italy, ensuring both local impact and national coordination.

We collaborate with schools, universities, families, youth organizations, sports clubs, and public institutions to create safer and more supportive environments for young people.

Our mission is to ensure that every child and young person can grow free from violence, exclusion, discrimination, and fear. We believe that protecting young generations means protecting talent, self-esteem, participation, and future leadership.

Libra's multidisciplinary team includes psychologists, psychotherapists, lawyers, criminologists, sociologists, pedagogists, and digital safety experts. Together, we provide educational programmes, awareness campaigns, training courses, counselling services, and support pathways for victims and families.

Our approach recognizes violence as a relational and cultural phenomenon. Therefore, we work not only with victims, but also with perpetrators, bystanders, families, schools, and local communities. Our objective is not merely to reduce harm but to rebuild trust, resilience, social belonging, and positive relationships.

A distinctive feature of our model is the involvement of Youth Ambassadors: young people who have personally experienced bullying or exclusion and transformed their experiences into positive leadership and peer education. Through their testimonies and active engagement, they inspire other young people and promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and active citizenship.

Through international cooperation, we aim to exchange good practices, strengthen the capacities of educators and youth workers, empower young people as agents of change, and develop sustainable strategies to prevent bullying, cyberbullying, and relational violence at the European level.
