Fondazione Internazionale Don Luigi Di Liegro ONLUS

More than 19 years ago, in 1997 we decided to found a nonprofit organization that could be useful and serve people, trying to secure the respect for dignity of the person and promote the civic participation through innovative services to support the most vulnerable individuals of society. So the Fondazione Internazionale Don Luigi Di Liegro Onlus was born. Today time have changed, but those same problems, that we addressed, persist.

It's for this reason that our fondation decided to commit itself to the field of mental health, trying to combat any form of social marginalisation, in which people could be involved, through instruments and actions, that aim to make up for the absence and the loss of relations and to ricreate links of solidarity and mutual aid.

In a society that seeks to generate solitude, situation of abandonment, the increasing of poverty rate, the marginality with its expression of dependence, mental illness, vagrancy, loss of self-esteem become the result of broken relationship, social destitution, cultural poverty.

Our social work is to affect the barriers of indifference, cooperating with public and private sector and volunteering.
