FEVOCAM is the territorial platform of the Community of Madrid and a meeting point for volunteer organisations. Its aims are: to defend, develop and promote volunteering in society; to enhance and facilitate the sustainability of voluntary action organisations; to develop and promote volunteering; to generate a common and strong dialogue with public administrations, other organisations and society in general.
The Platform was created in 1993 and is currently made up of 76 organisations with different missions, fields of action, forms of action and territorial implantation. Even so, they all share the vision of volunteering as an organised social movement of active citizenship which, based on co-responsibility, freedom and gratuity, seeks to meet as equals, creating a space for knowledge, reflection and joint actions to fight for justice, social development and the defence of human dignity.
