The Partner-Finding Tool
Aikido is a nonviolent martial art of self defens, based on the principle of harmony, on consideration of the communication in any situation. Applying this principle removes the frustrations related to the idea that the practitioner is not like others.
What differentiates Aikido from other martial arts is that the emphasis is on developing not only physical but also mental and spiritual development. Also, there is no restrinction for people who can practice Aikido. So this martial art is not discriminatory and can be practiced by anyone regardless of age, sex or social position.
Aikido is a martial art that can be used as a method of approaching people with various disabilities or other conditions such as ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders), Down Syndrome etc.
The Traditional Aikido Federation-Kiai has had many projects involving children with disabilities, such as children with ASD (project name “Increasing the chances of normal development and social integration of children with autism through Aikido”), so the association has people (Aikido practitioners) that have the necessary skills for working with this type of children.
Also, the association provides its members (practitioners) both physical training and practice (exam techniques) required to obtain gradations in accordance with regulations developed and officials recognized by law, as well provides training for practitioners of Aikido and styles related for obtaining the instructor classification and training for its members to participate in courses organized by the coaches authorized by law.
