Fahrten-Ferne-Abenteuer/ Abenteuerzentrum Berlin

We are a recognized provider of child and youth welfare and offer various full-day and multi-day educational programs for groups of children, youth and also adults. We organize and lead team trainings, multi-day project trips such as class trips, vacation camps, adventure trips, annual group escorts and (integrative) youth encounters for children and young people in Germany and Europe.
An essential part of our activities comes from the scouting methodology. We work with the methodology of experiential learning and use adventurebased and nature education methods. We work with the methodology of experiential learning not only in practice but also in theory, e.g. we organize and attend pedagogical courses on this topic. Therefore we are aware of the efficiency, specificity and attractiveness of this methodology and we use it in international activities to strengthen the European education of young citizens. We have built a solid international network of partners called City Bound Europe and through this we successfully organize several youth meetings every year. We also organize meetings with youth leaders from partner organizations to improve the project management, communication and quality of our events.
We focus mainly on children and young people aged 13-17, but we also have a special department dedicated to designing youth encounters for young people aged 18-26. By involving them in activities with innovative and interactive learning methods, we strengthen their social commitment and personal development, as well as their sense of solidarity, friendliness and curiosity about the world and other cultures and languages. This is especially important for disadvantaged children and young people: We show them innovative ways of learning and ways to gain new knowledge themselves in an action-oriented way, and we foster a variety of strengths as well as social, emotional and cognitive skills.
In our programs, participants get active and spend a lot of time outdoors, e.g. in our Adventure Center Berlin in the Grunewald forest, in the team high ropes course or building rafts. We plan our programs and methods in advance, but in a group every individual is important, so we take the time to get to know our participants* and their issues and needs, respond to their needs and adapt to their development processes.
FFA has a lot of experience with the implementation of local and European youth projects and the professional training of experiential educators and facilitators of group processes and our specially trained experiential education trainers* provide competent guidance and safety in the implementation of our programs.
