We invite you to EuroPie, an event created by young people for young people aiming at strengthening solidarity in youth actions.
From the 20th-27th August 2013, approx. 1000 young people will gather in Toulouse, France and we invite you to become part of our volunteer camp for the EuroPie event. You will be part of a dynamic team including youth volunteers representing their associations from the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Italy and Germany. Together with over 60 European volunteers- you will get the chance to meet, exchange, work together and contribute to the diverse youth dynamic of EuroPie.
The EuroPie international festival will have different activities: from workshops to theatre, from debates to concerts, informal discussions in the camping space to collective cooking in the self-run kitchen. The main themes are: Reclaim democracy, Transition, Social justice, Hack n’ Wiki, Fair-play economy, Water, Education, Climate, Activism and re-Generation.
This is what the week looks like:
20th August- day of arrival
21st-22nd August- volunteering with other European youth to construct the space together for the Europie Festi-forum
23rd-25th August- 3 days of forum activities and concerts. These days will be spent volunteering at the event in various roles and also hosting your own workshops if you wish.
26th August- day of deconstruction of the site
27th August- day of departure for all European volunteers
We have 7 places for motivated young people to join our team from the EU.
Age: Open to anyone aged 18-30, who wants unique experience and to make a difference!
When: You would need to arrive in Toulouse for 20th August and come back 27th.
Cost and logistics: We have a budget for maximum 250 euro per person- you will receive 70% of these costs back, so 30% of your travel costs you will need to cover yourself. Accommodation will be free as it will be camping (just like a festival J) but you will need to bring all of your equipment with you as we are unable to offer any rentals. There will be stands to purchase food, a community kitchen, and local vendors selling local produce if you wish to cook. The site is also well connected to the center of Toulouse via metro and bus if you wish to take a visit.
You book your own travel, you will take your ticket with you and receive your 70% back.
Bring your ideas along to be part of the EuroPie dynamic! Lets meet in a common space to create a strong and visible international youth movement!
