EuroMed Youth Centre

Euromed Youth Center made a successful start on 2 November, 2009. Hosting its first training and meeting group named MOSAIC, coming from the Council of Europe and the European Union (Salto-Euromed Youth Research Centre).

Euromed Youth Center is located to the west of Antalya, with its unspoiled bay, is a natural paradise of rare beauty where you can see every hue of blue and green. A great deal of the infrastructure necessary to acquire the European Quality Label is already in place.

We aim not just to provide a location, but to put in place strong institutional partnerships to enhance the role of the Youth programme in the Euro-Med region, and in this way contribute to Youth Policies.

Through our previous activities we have developed strong and enduring cooperation with INJEP, COE and the Turkish NA (National Agency) and Salto-Youth Euro-Med Resource Center.

We have the determination to carry this project through to a successful conclusion, and in wives of the fruitful working relationship we have enjoyed with our outstanding partners, we offered a formal invitation to establish a partnership at the institutional level in order to promote this plan at the highest level.

The general framework of this partnership is to empower the youth in the region by combining our forces and also contributing to the youth research field. The outcome of the meeting of the Committee is to coordinate visits the outstanding COE Youth Centers, and find out how to work closely and establish an institutional link with them. The strategic aims of our center are;

To contribute to youth development especially within the region
A strong neighborhood policy
A smart combination of formal and non-formal education
A policy aiming to link Europe and Meda countries.
Our center is dedicated to serving the youth sector and young people. We strongly feel that Turkey is in unique position to build a bridge between Europe and the countries of the Mediterranean with the support of outstanding institutions on our Steering Committee working in the field of youth, as well as being a pioneer in non-formal education as the leader of the youth sector.
