Ethnikos

The club was created in 1971 and is one of the oldest and largest in the region in the field of grassroot sport, since it has many departments focusing on different sports and different ages. With more than 50 years’ experience in the field of grassroot sports, ETHNIKOS has many achievements and distinctions in various tournaments. We support the “Sport for all initiative”, and we promote physical activity for physical and mental health.

The total number of athletes in all categories today exceeds 250 people, with whom we have daily trainings and other activities for the enhancement of their skills and abilities. One of our biggest aims in to encourage the Dual Careers of our Athletes and to promote the upskill of their pathways. Except of participation in regional and national tournaments, we organize seminars, conferences and training in the field of sports and healthy lifestyle in our country and abroad.

Through our work we aim to enhance social integration of people from marginalized groups and to
achieve social cohesion. In our activities we are working with migrants and refugees since we believe that sports contribute in the teamwork and combat intolerance and discrimination. We pay special focus on traditional sport and games which involve cultural characteristics and unite civilizations.
